Trip Overview

Pikey Peak Trekking – Amazing Sunrise

Best experience ever! I felt myself in Nepal like in my hometown. I decided to travel there the previous week (noplanning). Keshab was an amazing guide/friend!!

Why did I decide to choose this company?

I don’t know if they pay much money in SEO to appear in the first lines in Google search. But they are amazing, kind, careful… I could spend hours!! I got in contact with a Catalan guy who organizes Nepal trips, he recommended them, specially Nima as a main contact. Amazing itinerary called “Pikey Pick Trek”.

Why did I choose Pikey Pick Trek?

Because it has been a 10 days itinerary and max. altitude point around 4.100 meters high. And because it is not a super touristic route. First and last day in Kathmandu. Perfect lodge: Rogkpa Hotel. A peaceful hotel in the middle of dust and noise.
After that, I spent 1-2 days to arrive to the start point. Then we started to walk. Some days going up until Peaky Pick Base Camp. I woke up at 5am (sky: full of stars) to see an spectacular sunrise and landscape: Logdese, Everest, Numbur, Anapurnas….To sum up, Himalayas.

And then, going down some days more. I trekked over the forest. I saw wild animals and a herd of Yaks. Even I enjoyed a morning in a Monastery. Monks were originally from Tibet.

About my mountain guide?

He was Keshab. Since the first time we met in the airport, he was very kind. He checked all mu gear before the trek.
He teached me some nepali words, names of mountains and how to play Carambole. Also, eating habits like Dal bhat “power” and other general social and cultural nepali highlights.
