It was my dream to be a female guide during my school and college days. So, I got opportunity to take 35 days of trekking guide course from Nepal Mountain Academy and started my journey of trek. To develop more qualified guide, skill and knowledge, I took introductory rock climbing training , Basic ice climbing training , first aid wilderness, map and navigation and so on. Being female taking on the role of a guide and actively participating in a trekking makes me always proud . I believe that guide are the brand ambassador of tourism. It is my great pleasure to be the part of responsible treks . I want to show the world that gender should never limit someone’s potential. I want to say that all individual can conquer the mountains and make a difference in the lives of those who trek with us.
We are happy to have her in our Team .
I was fortunate to be born in Humla, a remote village in North West Nepal which borders to Tibet. The unique cultures and beautiful landscapes provided me to experience the hidden Himalayas from young age. I am one of the lucky person to be educated in Budhanilkantha School, Kathmandu.
I started my career in different NGOs and INGO but later shifted to Bank. Slowly, I discovered that my true passion was travelling. In the last 3 years, I have travelled everywhere around Nepal Himalayas. I am also licensed Trek and Tour Guide from the Nepal government.
Join me to share amazing experiences as we walk around the narrow alleys in Kathmandu or on a magical journey into the Himalayas!

I am from Montreal and am currently doing my bachelor’s degree at McGill University in International Management, with a minor in International Development. I am currently working as a research assistant for a university professor, where I am exploring the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Canada and how the government dealt with it. I also love to get involved in extracurriculars and, amongst other things, I was the Media Coordinator for the McGill Model United Nations last year and am participating in Jeux du Commerce, a nation-wide case competition, this year as part of the operations management team. I first went to Nepal in 2018 as part of a religion class with Professor Sasson and fell in love with the country. I had the chance to do an eight-day trek with Responsible Treks during my trip, where we climbed through the Annapurna region accompanied by four guides (Sonam, Chhiring, Nurbu and Konjok). Through this experience, I not only bonded with our four trekking guides, but I also got the chance to discuss with Buddhist monks, attend temple ceremonies, experience Nepal’s amazing landscapes and also learn about myself in the process. To this day, I still speak about my trip to my friends and family because of the lasting impact it has had on me. I could not be prouder to spread such a positive image of Nepal and Responsible Treks.
