GHT Wild West- Simikot- Rara- Upper Dolpo-Lower Mustang Trek
The Great Himalaya Trail- 1700 Km in Nepal is one of the longest and the highest walking trails in the world. Winding beneath the world’s highest peaks and visiting some of the most remote communities of Nepal. We are officially GHT specialized tour operators.
Our Guide- Sonam N. Lama , was among one of the 1st to lead the entire GHT wild west section. He trekked for 45 days along with our guest from New Zealand and Pakistan. Starting from Simikot(Humla) to Rara in Mugu , then making to Upper Dolpo and ending at Lower Mustang.
Nepal is widely recognized for Mount Everest and the Annapurna region. However here at Responsible treks we appreciate how much more there is to this beautiful land.
The far-west districts of Nepal have remained isolated and untouched while the rest of the country has been developing. However, since 2008 a massive effort has been underway in developing and promoting this region. This region is considered by many to be a future adventure “tourism hotspot”. If you are looking for an authentic trekking experience in pristine mountain scenery interlaced with legend and folklore, and then look no further. This region is for you!
